Death of Thomas Webster.
Death has removed another of the
}pioneers' of Ashfield in `the person of
Thomas Webster, • Ile was 11' during
the winter and wait reeontly attacked
by pneumonia and his weakened frame
was unable to withstand the attacks
of that (treaded disease,
BIr• Webster was one of a family of
live brothers, lour of whom cause out
from Ireland in. 1849, and settled ,iu
Ashlcld in 1852. He himself came
out in 1857.

and four daughters, the sons and
daughters being : Henry„ James, Mre.
Gibson, Mrs, Cook, Mrs. Webster, and

Last Sunday Rev, Mr, Small closed

morning service. BIr. Small is a suc-
cessful and popular pastor.
Three of the employes of the Coin-
mercial hotel were laid up last week
by an attack of grippe, but under the
good nursing of. Mrs. McCaughey they
made rapid recovery.
