J. W. B., Wingham. - Qu. - The
local options sections of the Licincir.Li-
cense Act were amended in 1911, pro-
hibiting non residents trout voting
upon local option by-laws. Is there
ary subsequent amendment affecting
the matter?
Ans.-There are several amendments
to the Liquor License Act passed in
1012. One authorize: the license in-
spector to inspect any hotel situated
in any municipality or locality sated to
report to the board. another amend.
went says the Lieutenant•Governoi•
may declare by proclamation that no
liquor shall be sold or kept tor sale
within the limits of any district where
public works are being constructed.
Another says that the proclamation
may prohibit any unlicensed person
from having in his possession any liq-
uor whatever; but this, provi, ion is not
to npply to chemists and druggists.
There do not appear to be any amend-
ments to the local option provisions of
the Act in .1912.
W. 11I., Seeforth •- Qu. - There
appears tome to be a discrepenev be-
tween the statement as sent out by the
town clerk and the statement prepared
by the chairman of the Finance Cone
pany, to the en)Oaut of above $1,000.
tf that fact can be shown can the
provincial municipal auditor be bt'on.
ght here to examine the accounts of
the municipality?

iting of Municipal uld Snlinol
Accounts, says: " Provincial .Muni-
