byterian congregation is announced
for Friday Jan. 3rd at 2 p. m.
Canvassers for rural mail delivery
have completed their rounds and have
secured more than the required num-
ber -of signatures to warrant ,the
Department in granting the request.
It is to• leave Zurich and traverse
I:Iay and Stanley 'Townships. This
will be a wonderful convenience to
those who hitherto have been miles
from an office. If obtained it will
begin April 1st when the- old Drys-
dale-Kippen contract•expires.

A gathering was held in Currie's
school : house one ,evening. before
Christmas to give the neighbors and
friends an opportunity to express
their sympathy with Mr, Wm. Nay-
lor in the aceidetit with which he
inet whereby he lost his foot
and to present to •him a tang-
ible token of their sympathy in the
shape of a handsome cheque. A pro-
gram was given, lunch was served
and a very pleasant evening spent.

The Christmas Day services' in St,
Paul's Church were 01: special char-
acter and fully in keeping with the
festival of the church. The sacred
edifice was tastefully decorated with.
holly and cut flowers. Large con-
gregations attended , both services,
there being a record number of com-
municants. The . choir sang with
good effect Stainers' "0 Zion that
bringest good tidings."
The following Sunday a Most suc-
cessful choir festival"'was held.Tho
service at 'night was fully choral
and the choir excelled themselves in
the . rendering of three anthems "0
Zion that bringest good tidings,"
Gounad's " Narzareth,'' and the
Christmas -carol anthem, "And they
came with haste and found Mary and
