Mr. Fred Daniel leaves his wife and one child, while his brother Jesse is unmar- ried. Alexander McMillan of T01. - onto recently received a letten from his son Ernest who is being detained In Germany. He says that he is allowed hie iberty so long as he reports himself once in twenty _four hours,. but he dare not move out of the city or he would be shot. Ernest MacMillan is a student of the University ,of Tor- onto, and was taking courses in musical composition in G-ermany bef ore the outbreak of the war.
