"Daddy's Little Girl'.'
"She's the picture of her mother the first time we met. The
same eyes, the same hair, the same complexion, the same figure,
the same in every way.
I'm very glad indeed that I took out that London Life Endow-
ment Policy in her favor and payable on her eighteenth birthday.
I only regret that I didn't take out a larger one -I'd never have
missed an extra hundred or two a year.
However, the profits are far in excess of the estim` ate, and it
will make a, very handsome birthday gift for Daddy's little
girl:.
That's one thing about The London Life worth remembering -
It performs
ememberingIt;performs better than it promises. A reliable, economically
managed company -no wonder people say that its policies are as
"Good as Gold." ,

A Natural Sundial.
There is no need for clocks on the
Aegean sea whenever the sun is shin-
ing. There nature bas arranged her
only timepiece, one that does not vary
with the passing centuries. This natu-
ral time marker is the largest sun dial
in the world. Projecting into the blue
waters of the sea is a large promon-
tory which lifts its head 3,000 feet
above the waves. As the sun swings
round the pointed shadow of themoun-
tain just touches one after the other a
number of small islands, which are at
exact distances apart, and act as hour
marks on the great dial.
Going to Jerusalem.
As many chairs, less one, as tbere

then the children are formed in line,

the piano and the line moves around
the chairs. The instant the music
ceases, the children' try to secure a
seat: of course one is left standing.

To Suffer From
Headaches
MAKES LIFE MISERABLE.
It takes, a person who has had and is
subject to headache to describe the suffer-
ing which attends it. The dull throbbing,
the intense pain, sometimes in one part
of the head, sometimes in another, and
then again over the whole head, varying
in ils severity by the cause which brings
it on, purely indicates that there is
something amiss with the system, The
fact that Burdock Blood Bitters reaches
the seat of the trouble is due' to its success
in relieving and permanently coring, the
cause of the headache.
Mrs. Andson 416 15th Ave. East,
Cal-
gary, Alta„ writes:"For three years I'm -Ls
