THE BILINGUAL POSTCARD.
The Orange Sentinel 'says; The
Dominion G•overnement through
the Peetinester General, has given
offence to th.e people of every Eng-
lish -Speaking province by issuing
bilingual post cards,. The electors
of ,Ontatio and! the Western Prov-
inces are very tolerant with re-
gard to the use of 'French in offic-
ial ways in the Province of Quebec.
They give up one whole province
the -French language ( and. the
French people and they think that
that is enough. But to have the
propaganda for the extension of
the French language obtruded up
on there every time they enter a
railway train or use a poet carclis
something to( (which they have
every right to object. And- they do
objece. If Mr. Borden and his col-
leagues knew the general dissatis-
faetion with th.ean which has re-
sulted from the use of bilingual
post cardsoutside the Province of
Quebec they would: lose no time
'wethdrawing them.
