Proceedings will te taken to oust
Robert Elliott, reeve•elect, on grounds
that he cannot fulfill the property re-
quirements. The proceedings will be
on behalf of the defeated candidate,
ex -Reeve B. 0. Munnings, who was
defeated by the close majority of 2a.
The defeat of Munnings was a sur-
prise to many. This was the principal
issue of the campaign, as Mayor Heid
was elected again by acclamation.
Theotter 'announcement is to the
effect that there will be a recount of
the ballots for councillor Wilson, who
was three votes below. Frank Elliott
in the aldermanic race. As Mr, El-
liott received the lowest number of
votes of those elected, Mr. `Nilson
just lacked a few ballots of being one
of the councillors for 1914.

to Amount of Double Liability._,
Believing that losses they sustained
in the Farmer's bank failure are to be
made good by the Government, hun-

At a meeting held at Beueetield re-

depositors. Rev. Mr, Gilmour of Rip•

• obj=et of the meeting. It was for the
purpose, he said, of asking the depos.

the shareholders to the amount of
their double liability if the Govern.
meat of Canada recouped the losses
sustained by the depositors in the
Farmers Bank, se that the depositors
would receive 100 cents on a dollar.
Depositors in the Brucefleld branch
of the Farmers Bank lost $50 Ot9, and
those in the branch at"Dashwood lost
