quarters at Saskatoon, returned on

Miss Margaret Wiseman, who has
been in the west for the past few

Robertson of Lethbridge, and other
friends, has returned to Ottawa and
resutned her position in the Depart-
tpient 01 the Interior.
Mr. Alex. Armstrong of Toronto,
formerly of Clinton, had the mis-
fortune to meet with anaccident

him to his room for some days.

Mr, A, II. Lofft, merchant of St.
Mary's' was in town Tuesday and

tend the funeral • of the late Mrs.
F. T. Loilt, his late brother's wid-
ow. Mr, Loffli was a native of
Goderich township, being horn. at
what was known as Lofft's? Cor-
ner where hi., • father carried on, a
blacksniflitting hti•,iness. Thea shop
long since crumbled away but the
house r still stands though uninhabit-
ed for a long period. It is going
on forty years; since Mr. Lobb left
this part but his nl0ni.ory is still
green in recollection. of ye olde
days.

the annual meeting of tate Dominion
Sheep Breeders' Association in Tor-

Mr. Snell was elected a member of
the Executive Committee. I -Ie says

stock is as great as ever, chiefly by

The funeral of the late Mrs. W. L.
Ouiniettc, of Coleman, whose sudden
death came as a shock to many old
Red Deer friends, took place at Red
Deer on Sunday afternoon from the
residence of her Jon n aw, Mr. Nei.
son Murphy, The service was conduct-
ed by Rev. W. D. Brown. The pall -
hearers were Messrs. W. J. Botterill,
Geo. W. Greene, .T, Malcolm, IC. By-

members of Kenilworth Lodge A. F'

of beautiful wreaths, including those
