Agnew, of Mount Brydges, has accepted the invita- tion to become pastor of Ontario Methodist church, providing the Stationary Committee sends him to Clinton. CASES IN NORTH HURON. That the officers of the law in North Huron are doing their duty may be judged from the fact that from the first of August until the 15th of November there were 11 cases tried in ednneetion with the violations of the liquor laws. In- spector Mitchell and the other of- ficers are doing their best to see that the law is properly observed. FLOUR GOES UP. There has been another advance I1in the price of flour, word being received from the 'whol'esalers Wednesday morning of a 10 -cent raise per hundred on Manitoba flour. Only a week ago there Was a i6 -cent raise on all flours, Whole seers were Tunable Wednesday morning to guarantee the present prices for 21 hours. Retail mer- chants will raise their prices pro- porionately, els there is a very small margin, they say, on flour at any time. GOING TO CORNWALL Rev. T. Cosens, former pastor of Ontario St. Church, who is in his fourth year at Empress Avenue Methodist Church in London, has accepted a %unanimous invitation' to become pastor of the Methodist church in Cornwall. Rev. J. Doug las Richardson, M. A., of , Corn- wall, has accepted a similar invi- tation Empress Avenue Church. Mr. TWestgaie, of Shel- bomne, a son-in-liaw, of Mrs, KKilty, of town, has a brother,' who is a missionary inl, German East Africa and who became ,a prisoner when the war broke out last year. Dr. Westgate had been in the .East African tied since 1902, and in 1913 was appointed by the Angli- can church of Canada as field sec- retary of .missionary 'department He Was to leave the field in East Africa in October, 1914,,butthe war broke out and he became a,prisoner in the German internment camp His brother heard from him in Jan uary last, and not since then kis all mni,l connections were discontin nee with the isolation which follow ed the declaration of war.
