The arrest of Arthur' Marriott,

Brucefield
There passed away in Iuekersmit;ll,
on Saturday after a brief illness, Miss
Margaret lYlustard at the age of 74,
She lived on the old home farm ,;she
leaves 2 sisters to mourn leer lose, also
at the old home, she was buried in
Baird's Cemetery, on Tuesday.
On Wednesday last about ten
o'clock in the forenoon, Douglas
L+atheringham's Darn was foand to be
in fire there was a high wind blowing
at the time so that there was no way
of stopping it. The fire started in the
driving shed where the implements
were kept, so that nearly etll his im
, plements excepting thein he was
ii working with in the field, were burns,

withstanding that there is an
insurance on the building. The
origin of the firm is unknown. Bruce
Berry who was worlkiug in the field
with Mr Fatheringham had the mis
fortune to have his rubber tired buggy
burnt in the fire.
Robert Smillie sold his 1:10 acre farm
on the London Road, near our village
last week. It is a splendid farm and
a good price was obtained. Mr Dixon
near Seaforth, who bought the Perm
has already taken possession, The
prise was in the neighborhood of
$;9 000. Mr Smillie will have a sale of
farm affects in a few weeks, when he
expects to move to town, to take life
easier,
Andrew Foote is preparing to build
a home on their farm at Bannockburn
Mr Victor Smith, of the Huron C
Erie Loan and Savings Company,Lon-
don,was in the village on Saturday on
business.
Mrs Campbell, Clinton, was last
week the guest of her daughter, Mrs
S. McKenzie.
