TEMPERANCE MEETING.
To the Editor of the Clinton New Era :
Sir;-Underthe above title in your
issue of the 14th, there is a statement
to the effect that in the matter of law
enforcement, there is still room for
Improvement, and that the executive,
of the Huron County Temperance Al-
liance will tumid enlist the sympathy
of all county officers and magistrates
to see thatthelaw is strictly enforced.
I think the, large majority of your
readers will agree with me that these
remarks convey nn erroneous im-
psession. I make bold to state that
the present law condition in the
County of Huron is being very of
fectively enforced, and it is not just
or fair to convey the impression that
r otherwise. But enthus-
thin s are
iasm must be maintained!
