Twitchell, Miss T. Crooks left on Saturday for Hamilton to visit for a few days before going on to the Millinery openings at Toronto, Mrs. Len. Cantelon and little, son left Tuesday for thele home in Tor- onto after spending, several weeks with r. and Mrs. I. Cantelon n Mr. and Mr's. Reekie of Dutton are expected today at the hone of Mt. and Mts. W. 1'. O'Neil. They will return home at once however, ac- companied by their daughter. Mos. W. J. Ross and Miss Helen are in 'Toronto .this week attending the wedding of Miss Lucy Couch, who was married yesterday. Miss Couch visited here early in the season for some weeks and will he remembered by manyt. Mrs. Cornell of Cleveland, Ohio, who carate over on account of the serious illness of her brother, Mr, J. Et Stuarts of Winghant, spent a few days with her sister, Mrs. J, 13. Rtunball, last week leaving for her home on Friday. Mrs. W. T. O'Neil :and Miss Delle returned last week from a visit at Pott Huron Detroit, and other points, They visited Mr. and Mrs. Reekio at Dutton, motoring from them to London, and Miss Kate Reekie accompanied thein home. Messrs. A. J. Moorish, J, A. Ford J. T. Harland, Dr. Axon and J. W. Nediger motored to London on Sun- day, to visit the nrilitam6' camp there and the officers of the -33rd. They say tin camp is well worth a vis- it, and they were royally enter- tained in the officers' mess. Mr. H. LeBaron Hartt of Medina, Newk York, scenta days da s ,o f this week in Clinton, his first visit fn over a score of years. IIe is a son of Mr. C., A. Ilartt, one of the first Lawyers to practise hero and .who is yet borne in mind by our older citizens. Mr. Iiartt began his bus- iness career with the late John liodgens, one of the most progres- sive of Clinton's first merchants, and for spine time clerked in what has long been known as "The .Pal- ace." He noted the ' absence of many of his old associates, a num- ber of Whom lay, in the cemetery while others have gone elsewhere.
