Miss Mary Matheson, who has been

Miss 'Alice Pickett, who has been
visiting friends in town for several
weeks, left on Thursday for Park-
hill to visit her sister, before leav-
ing for her home in Winnipcg,
Mr, 'rom Rance, second son of Mr.
C'. C. Rance, formerly of Clinton
but now of Toronto, is suffering
from, appendicitis and may have to
undergo an operation. IIe is the
second one in the family to have
this experience,

of drays at the beginning of the
week, having accompanied the re-
neains of his mother from Grand
Rapids. He accompanied his broth-
er' and nephew, Messrs. 0. S. and
S. 15.' Robertson, bons to Luck-
now on Tuesctayr evening for a few
days' visit. It is a great many
years since the Robertson -boys left
this vicinity and their old "''friends
here are glad to :know that they
have prospered in- the interval.
