APatriotic Tea. • The Ladies' Guild of St. Paul's church gave a ten cent tea in Owen Hall oe Thursday afternoon last and a large number of ladies carne in for a cup ,of tea during the afternoon. The tables were -very daintily arrang- ed, the tea was good and the bread and butter and cake served were all of the best. Pleasant; chat prevailed -and many of the ladies brought along theirknitting and spent a social hour. The proceeds, which anointed to about thirty dollars, were banded over to the Women's Patriotic So- ciety, who can be depended, upon to make the very .best 000 possible of �,. such donations. Any donation handed' in to: them will be wisely spent and will make it possible to keep willing fingers busy turning out the articles so sorelyneeded by the men in the trenches. Mrs. John Turner passed away last week at the age of seventy-three years. The remains were interred at Baird's cemetery.
