To -day, Thursday, April 6th, will long be remembered by the citizens of Clinton and the adjoin- ing townships, when Huron's first Battalion will mobilize for recruit- ing purposes in Clinton. The sol- dier boys will go through their drills during the morning, and it is expected that Col, Shannon, D.O. C., of London, will be present to take part. In the afternoon the annual Huron Spring Stock Show will be held, and during the afternoon the 161st Battalion Band have ar- ranged, by permission of Lieut. Col. Combe, to give a fine pro- gram which is published below. In the evening the Big Minstrel Show will be put un in the Town Hall, commencing at 8.10. The company has an orchestra of ten pieces and will be assisted by the 161st Battl, Band. THE OFFICIAL PROGRAM MORNING. 7.00 a.m., Officers, band and linen parade. 7.33, Wroxeter, Winghani, Blyth and Brussels soldiers arrive. 7.33, Goderich soldiers 7.00, Seaforth soldiers leave that town to march here. 10.30, Exeter and Hensail soldiers arrive. 11.00, Inspection by Col. To -day, Thursday, April 6th, will long be remembered by the citizens of Clinton and the adjoin- ing townships, when Huron's first Battalion will mobilize for recruit- ing purposes in Clinton. The sol- dier boys will go through their drills during the morning, and it is expected that Col, Shannon, D.O. C., of London, will be present to take part. In the afternoon the annual Huron Spring Stock Show will be held, and during the afternoon the 161st Battalion Band have ar- ranged, by permission of Lieut. Col. Combe, to give a fine pro- gram which is published below. In the evening the Big Minstrel Show will be put un in the Town Hall, commencing at 8.10. The company has an orchestra of ten pieces and will be assisted by the 161st Battl, Band.
