Ottawa, Nov, 29. -Col, John A. Gunn, 'C.M.G„ D.S.O. will command Military District No. 2, succeeding Maj. -Gen. Logie, who will shortly assume his duties as judge of the Supreme Court • bench. It was thought .that an officer Commanding one of the Canadian divisions . in the field would be selected for this tm- portant' district, but cable advices state that the officer will , not be availaible for a few months, and. Col. Gunn's appointment is therefore a temporary one. Col. Gunn is an officer of long standing in the. Canadian Militia.
