Goderich, July 1o, -At the June
session of the Huron County Council
$3,00.0 was voted for the purchase of a
Children's Shelter for the Huron 'Go.
Children's • Aid Society,
A comvnittee consisting of the War-
den and three other members of the
Council was appointed to select a
siutable building, This committee met
in Goderich yesterday, and after look-
ing over a number of suitable houses
that were offered, decided to purchase
a large brick residence on Cameron
street in Goderich, owned. and oc-
cupied by P, J. Ryan. The purchase
price is $2,400, possession to be
given on October 1.
The Huron Children's Aid Society
has been greatly hampered in the past
for want of a place to place the chil-

found for them. Usually they were
taken to the Stratford shelter,
