Sister Dead,
.Nrs, Thomas Shipley received word
this week of the death of her sister,
Fannie Shaw, beloved wife of Mr. Geo.
T Robinson, of Regina. Deceased is
well kn' wit by the older citizens, hav-
ing resided here prior to her man -lege
.and removal out West. Besides her
husband. she is survived by three chid -
ren.

Capt, Prank 0 1larrer, formerly
raster of Willis church, acted as
Military Representative in the Appeal
Tribunal of he Hon. Mr. lustier hose
of the Court 01 Appeal, and is now at-
tached to Headquarters staff of Mili-
tary District No 2 Toronto, and is
assi“ing in the administration of the
Military Service Act,

Death of Hector Junor,
We have tale week to chronicle the
death of one of Clinton's citizetas in
the person of Mr. (lector ,lunor. bro-
ther of Mrs, Arthur Cantelon, Huron
St, He was in his sixty-seventh year
and had been bedfast only a few days
but had been gradually failing in
health for several montihs. He was
born in Stanley rownhip and lived
here practically all his life and made
his home with his only surviving
sister. RevJ, E. Hogg, of Willis
church, Cnnducted tate service. The
pallbearers were:•—Mr. David Cantelon
Dencan McEwan, D. J. Cantelon, Joint
Lindsay, Neil McGregor and W. J.
Cantelon.
Former Resident Dead
Mr, Alfred 11, Goodwin, tt former re-
silent of 'Canton passed away at the
Alexander Hospital, Goderich, on Mon-
day of this week. The late Mr. Good-
win was in his fifth year and had been
in (11 health for some time. He is
survived by two daughters, Mrs. Glenn
Campbell, of Alymer, and Mrs, McMath
of Goderich Township, and two sons,
Douglas, overseas, and Victor living in
the west. The body was brought to
Clinton on Wednesday afternoon and
interment Was made at Cin ton ceme-
tery, For many years iMr. Goodwin
was night watelunau at. the Piano C..
He sold his home some 5 years ago and
-after a trip out West has been hying
with his daughters.

Where is The Order?
By newspaper announcements it
was 14.1 be read that all window light-
ing was to he discontinued, yet we
understand that the Public Utilities
'Commission has had no orders from
the Hydro department about this
change. There was supposed to be
no shute window lighting for Febru-
ary 5th.
C.C.I. Board Re -organizes.
On Tuesday evening of this week,
the 1015 0, C. 1. Board reorganized
for lhecoming year. Rev J. A. Rob-
inson
inson was elected chai4-miu, and Mr, J.
E. Trealeven, was reappointed as
Secretary -treasurer. The Property
Committee is W. Brydone, J. C. Mo -

Discipline, R E. Manning, .1. E, Hovey

Laid to Rest.
The funeral of the late Mrs. Oliver
Johnson took place last Thursday af-
ternoon, interment being made at the
Clinton cemetery. Rev. J. A. Agnew
pastor of the Ontario St, Church, to
which church deceased was a member,
conducted the service at the grtwe
The pallbearers were.—Mr. A totter,
of Goderich, and Messrs, A. J Hollo-
way, Jos, Copp, J. Rands, Jas, Ford
and W. R, Counter, all of Clinton.
