Mr, T, T. Murphy has sold his brick
house hi Mr. F. Rogerson of Constance,
who gets possession in March. Mr.
Murphy has not yet decided what he
will do, but we hope the family will
continue to reside in town,

Mr. Chas, Helyar left with us a
couple of eggs laid by a pullett hatched
on the 27th of April. The pullett is
bred from W. Doherty's imported White
Leghorns.

As' the teachers cot the Model School
are attending the Teachers' Convention
at Seaforth today and Friday there will
be no school and of course the boys and

Lieut. Tate, of the Salvation Army
Force was bridesmaid at a wedding at
Essex last Wednesday:—A very pretty
wedding was solemnized in the Salva-
tion Army 'Citadel at 8 o'clock on Wed-
nesday ecenieg when Capt. W B. Stev-
ens of the Wingham Corps was united
in marriage to Lieut Lyle Addle Wag-
ner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
Wagner, of Essex, Lieut. -Col, Rawlings
of London performed the ceremony be-
fore a large number of friends. The
bride, who wab attired in the regula-
tion uniform, was assisted by Lieut.
Myrtle Tait, of Clinton, while Bejaia-,
man John Wagner of the Essex Corps
acted as groonisman. Following the
ceremony a wedding supper was served
it the home of Oa bride's parents on
Talbot street to the immediate friends
and relatives of the bride. Capt. and
Mrs. Stevens are taking a shoot wedding
trip and on their return will resunie
charge of the Wingliam Corps, where
the Captain has been stationed for the
last nine moeths, previoutly haying
had charge of the Essex Corps.
50th 'Anniverseety
The following refers to the parents
of Mrs. , (Rev.) Powell, formerly of
01inton and now in Lutian:--The cele-
bi'atioa of the 50th Anniversary of the
wedding of Mr, and Mrs James Tuck.
Hyde Park, was held at the home of
their son-in-law, Rev. Mr. Powell, ot
Lucan, Otatario on Monday last. All of
their children Were present,: except
Rev. George Tuckey. of Springwater,
Saskatchewan. Sixteen grandchildren
and one 0 -eat -grandchild sat down to
dinner which was prepared in honor of
the mension, The table was decorat-
ed with fruit and flowers. During tile
evening five grandchIldree Were baptiz-
ed by their uncle, Rev. Mr, Powell.
After supper i Weil -tilled nurse was
given to Mrs Tuckey, and gold -headed
:am to M. Tuckev, by the members
of their family, 'no...tea:tied by an
address, ,whieli was read bY Miss Inez
Tuckey, Little Misses Lilo Connor
and Pearl Smith presented the gifts.
Al a late hour the parents Motored to
their home in Hyde Park, accompanied
by the good wishes of their children
