What Other Towns Are Doing
At a recent meeting of the Strath -
toy Board of Trade ,Mayor Dampier
gave a resume of the answers written
on the question papers sent out by the
Board to ascertain the opinion of the
nterchans of the town as,.to the best
way to improve their respective busi-
nesses. Systematic advertising, up -lo -
dale window displays, the adoption of
a strictly cash system, etc, were ad-
vocated as means of improving
amer-
cantile business. Several ways were
suggested to improve the town ansi
make it go ahead, viz: The securing
of more factories paying a higher
scale of wages; the adoption of a
system of management of civic af-
fairs by a paid commission, rather
than by the usual Town Council: the
determination of the citizens to boost
the town and all its activities in word
and deed, rather than knock; and
some others, all conveyng the sante
idea. The various answer% provoked
a wholesome discussion.
IS YOUR HEARTWEAK?
TEST IT OUT,.
The way to find out if your to art is
weak is to put your finger on your pulse,
The average heart of the average man
or woman should beat 70 times to the
minute. 1f it beats much below or
above this average there is something
wrong. There may be palpitation, shoot-
ing pains through the heart, sleepless-
ness, shortness of breath, faint and
dizzy spells, waking up in thei night as if
smothering, a feeling of oppression, the
feet and hands become clammy and cold,
a bluish tinge appears about the lips,
the blood rushes to the head, or there is a
sensation of "pins and needles". If any
of these symptoms raise take Mitburn's
Heart and Nerve Pi11s,_and you will
find they will fix up the weak heart
in no time. They do this by regulating
the heart's action and invigorating the
nerves.

Butler—.McInnis Wedding
A pretty wedding took place at the
home of fdr, and Airs, Dan Alcinnis, at
Langside, near Lucknow, when their
daughter Annie was united in marriaea
to Mr, Alex, Butler. of Clinton, for-
merly of Lucknow, recently returned
from overseas. The ceremony was
performed by the Rev, Mr. Scottie, pas-
tor of Langside Presbyterian Church,
in the presence of about 50 guests.
The bride was charmingly gowned in
white crepe de chine, with Juliet cap
and veil, and carried a bouquet of
white carnations and roses. She was
unattended, and was given in mar-
riage by her fattier. After the cere-
nlnny Miss Mary Aitchison sang "Per-
fect Day," and a wedding dinner was
served later. The groom's gift to the
bride was a beautiful necklace. The
bridal party motored to Clinton, where
they were the guests at a reception at
the home of the groom. The couple
are very popular and well known here,
and were the recipients of many hand-
some presents. The Naw Era web.
