Last Thursday evening the Lecture
rooms was a scene of unusual activity
It was the annual men's banquet. Al-
most seventy men sat down to tables.
'The supper was provided by the ladies,.
they never fail us either tis to quantity
or quality. After men had well eaten,
business of exceptional importance was
brought under consideration: such as
the introduction of the new Book of
Praise; the redecoration of the interior
of the, church and the installation of_a
new pipe organ. It was indeed a
happy and successful evening,
Next Sunday morning the pastor's'
subject will be the fourth in the Apost-
olic series, "The Apostle James."
In the everting he will begin a short
Easter series-. of discourses; entitled
"The SnuhsPersuit." These sermons
will be based on Phil. 3: 10. "That I
may know him (Christ) and the fel-
lowship of his sufferings and the power
of his resurrection, being made cons -
formable unto his death."
April 6 -"Knowing Christ."
April 83 -"Fellowship ;in Suffering."
April 20 --"The Power of Christ's
Resurrection."
April 27-"Comfsrmation to Christ"

Last Monday evening the Junior
League provided a splendid programme
at the Senior League -with- the presi-
dent of the Junior League, Miss Pearl
Shipley in the chair. A splendid topic
on "Patriotism" ryas given by Wilfred
Jervis. Readings were given by Norma
Treleaven, Eleanor Plusnsteel, Donna
Cockrave, Harold Jervis M. Johnston.
Solos were given by Harold Jervis and
E. Plunilteel, Muriel'Grich acted as
pianist and also gave an instrumental.
A quartette of boys gave a selection
and the girls sang several songs very
well. Next Monday the Christi:o-En
deavor Contnittee will be in charge.
All members are requested to be out
as this will the the first 'roll call this -
year,
