Mrs. MacCrae, who has been staying
with her son in Detroit for some
time, returned to her home on
Tuesday. She was accompanied by
her grandson, Master Edwin Mac-

Mr. John Forbes, chief clerk and aud-
itor of freight accounts for the
Southern Pacific Railway at Hous-
ton, Texas, spent a few days with
his mother, Mrs. A.,Forbes of
town, during the ,past week.
Mr. Robt. Holmes of Toronto was a
visitor in town over the week -end
and holiday. .Mr. Holmes is always
a welcome visitor in the old town
and he always seems to enjoy a few
days amongst old friends here.
Miss A. McCorvie, who has been
teaching in the Goderich branch of
the School of Commerce since
September, has accepted a position
in the Hanover Business College
and left last. week to enter upon
her duties.
Rev. J. E. Hogg left on Tuesday for
Hot Springs, Vergiuia, Mr. Hogg
has not been real well since he had
an attack of flu in the fall but it
is hoped that the change will be
beneficial to him, His family are
in Bayfield for the month of Aug-
ust.
Mr. and Mrs. 1,. J, Jenkins and
Master George aro camping at
Burks for a few days. Mr. and
Mrs. Jenkins, who have been in
Toronto, are now locating in Lon-
don, Mr. Jenkins having taken
charge of the Y.M.C.A, work in
the Forest City,
Mrs. F. F. Gillies and little,,.daugh-
ter Marion returned to their home
in Toronto on Tuesday after spend-
ing several weeks with the lady's
parents, Magistrate and 'Mrs., An-
drews of town. Miss Marion An-
drews accompanied them for a
visit in the city,
Mr. W. E. 'Moody, advertising re-
presentative of the Acton Trade
Papers, Toronto, who has been
spending his holidays at the home
of his father' -in-law, Mr. H. B.
Chant of town, returned to the
city on Tuesday. Mrs, Moody and
little son remain ,lot a longer visit.
Mrs, Henry Young and daughter, Miss
Florence, of Aberdeen, 5. Dakt,
who have been visiting the form-
er's mother,, Mrs, Heard of Bay-
field, were week -end guests at the
home of Mrs, Tasker of Maty, St,
Mts. 'Young leaves for home next
week and will visit in Minneapolis
on the way baetc.

Lueknow and he and bis brother,
Ilea. H. Fulton Irwin, bate this
week for a trip to the west, Mr.
Irwin has not heft in the heat of
health for renis little time and is
taking this trip in the hope of ben-
efit. They will probably be gone

Misses Lillie Brunsdon and Elsie

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young had an
accident Friday night when leaving
Clinton a car collided with their
buggy but fortunately both escaped
without being seriously injured.
Several were at Clinton Monday.
All reported having had au enjoyable
time.
Mrs. Chas. Ruddell has been visit-
ing her father, lir. Atcheson of
Gowaustown.
Mr. J. Lounesbury and two chil-
dren autoed to Delhi Sunday to
spend a few days with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Husking vis-
ited friends near Fordwich a few
days last week.
Mr. Ab. Brunsdon of Seaforth
spent Sunday with his brother
here.
Mr. and Mrs. Radytz, Stewart and
Ede of Detroit called on Mrs. M.
