It is too bad that a man .of your education, business standing :and general common sense should" be so lacking in ordinary civility as not 'to know enough to turn 'his dimmers ,on, when you must have seen that your lights were immediately glaring ton 'the two cars turned your way and the people passing," Ordinarily all anonymous letters :aro consigned to the waste basket., abut the peculiarities of the type let- 1 ,tors indicate quite plainly on whose - machine the letter was typed, and if the writer had possessed in the least 'tdegree any of the attributes of a :gentleman, that he flatters me as possessing, he would have courteous- ly called my attention, or that of 'the traffic officer, to my unintention- al violation of road etiquette. To the anonymous writer T extend no :apologies for my incivility but to any, -others that I may have annoyed I ' oiler my sincere regrets ; and will take this opportunity to commend the traflie officer for so kindly adopt- ing the improved methods of parking =autos and teams in congested streets, tend to express a hope, that he will Suppress other violations of road etiquette, when possibly the anony- mous writer, who does not possess .the courage of his convictions, to •sign his name may, also, find himself "to be an unintentional violator of well known rules of the road. -CHAS. le.
