Coats chief of the Statistical Department of the Canadian Government has been ap- pointed, to the Staliftical Commission of the League of Nations, and will we leave for Europe in September to take part in the sittings of that body, The first meeting 'of the commission will take place at some point in Europe probably toward the end of September and Mr, Coats who, is the only one chosen outside the continent of Europe will be present.
