Are you willing --
To forget what you have done for other people; and to remember what other people
have done for you? To ignore what the world owe) you, and to think what you awe to the
world? To put your rights in the background, your duties in the middle distance, and your
chances to do a little more than your duty in the foreground? To see that your fellowmen
are just as real as you are, and try to look behind their ?aces to their hearts, hungry for joy?
To close your book of complaints and look around you for a place where you can sow a few
seeds of happiness?
Then you are ready for Self Denial.
Are you willing --
To stoop down and consider the needs and the desires of little children; to remember
the weakness and loneliness of .people who are growing old; to stop asking how'much your
friends LOVE YOU, and ask yourself whether you LOVE THEM enough? To bear in
mind the things that other ..people have to bear on their hearts; to try to understand what
.triose who live in the sameaouse- with you really want, without waiting for them to tell you?
To trim your lamp so that'it will give more light and less smoke, and to carry, it' in front so
that your shadow will fall behind you? To ma kc,a• grave for your ugly thoughts and a garden
for your kindly feelings; -with tlie gate open? n for a little while?
Are you willing to do these things, eve -
Then you are ready for Self -Den ial,
Are you willing --
To believe that love is the strongest thing in the world --stronger than hate, stronger '
than evil, stronger than death—and that the blessed life which began in Bethlehein nineteen
hundred and twenty years ago is the image and, brightness of the Eternal.Love? rn-,r, , j
Then you are ready for. Self -Denial.

ANAEMIA ROBS ITS
VICTIMS BY STEALTH
Conditions of Thin Blood That
Could be Corrected Easily Are
Stealing the 'Health and Energy
of Many Men and Women, and
Boys and Girl .
Anaemia, which literally Mea n
bloodlesness, is one of the must pre-
veient troubles of the present day,
if neglected it is apt to develop into
pernicious anaelnia, one of the most
hopeless diseases. While :anaemte
attacks lien and boys, It is more pre-
valent.amoeg young girls and women
and for this reason ,every- 'woman,
particularly every mentor, should
know how to recognize the signs of
this trouble which makes . its ap.
proaeh, so gradually and sostealth=
ily that it is often far advanced be-
fore the nature of the trouble is no-
ticed, One general symptom of an-
aemia is pallor, The cheeks grade•
ally lose their color, and the Lips be.
come` pale or white. With this loss
of color there come a tendency to
fatigue, a palpitation of the heart,
and breathlessness after slight ex-
ertion, with occasional headaches. In
the more severe oases faibting spells
frequently occur.
In ordinary 'anaemic conditions, in-
eluding the anaemia that affects
young girls in their 'teens, Dr. Wil-
liams' Pink Pills are all tile medicine
required, Fresh :air, sunlight and
nourishing food will do the rest, Any
woman or girl taking Dr. Williams'
Pink Rills can tell by the growing
redness of .her lipsthat the pills are
making her blood rich and red.
Miss Mabel Feener, Liverpool, N. S.
says: -.•e -Before I began the use of Dr.
Williams Pink Pills I felt like a complete
wreck of my :former self. My blood was
thin end waiey; 1 'suffefed from faint
and dizzy spells and had headaches al-
most every day,. '1 was taking doctor's
medicine but it was not helping me and
at this time I was learning my trade as
a taiioress and was forced through my
illness to give up work,. After reading
an advertisement of Dr. Williams Pink
Pills one day 1 decided to. give the pills
a trial. After taking two boxes I felt
that I was being benefited and con-
tinued their use until I was fully restor-
ed to health. The pills certainly' did
wonders for me and I cannot recomm
end them too highly."
The purpose of Or. Williams Pink
Pills is t0 build up the blood. They do
this one thing and they do it welt. They
are for this reason an invaluable remedy
in diseases arising from bad or deficient
blood, as rheumatism, neuralgia, after-
effects of the grip and fevers. The pills
are guaranteed to be free ,from opiates
or any harmful drug, And cannot injure
the most delicate system. You can get
Dr. WJlfiams Pink Pills : through any
dealer . in medicine or by mail at 50
cents a box or six boxes for $2,50
