There are 234 branches in Ontario,

52 in Nova Scotia, 9 in prince Edward
Island, 34 in Quebec, 135 in Saskateli-
ewan, 9 in the Yukon, 5 in the United

GORRIE-The 47th annual meeting
of the Howick Mutual Farmers' Insur-
1 ance Company was held recently at Ger-
rie. The total amount paid for losses
has'been $393,032 since the company's
organization, about 20 cents on the
$100, The amount paid for livestock
killed or damaged by lightning in the
past ten years was 540,33e. Total
losses for the same period were $193,-
060. To show how prices have chang-
ed, the first ten cows killed averaged
-30.92; and for the hist ten, 593.19;
sheep ruse from 55.10.. to 521.80; lambs
53 25 to 412.75; and horses, 589 to
.8150.50.
