On motion of Cuun_iilors McMurray
and Johnson, the accounts were order-
ed to be paid,
Finance Minister Mclilerray, reported
to the C^.:?ndl that the Molson's Bank
had withdrawn their account, for the
collecting the taxes.
On motion of Councillors Johnson
and McEwen, the Treasurer was order -
to pay the Wilson Coal Co., Toronto,
8346.83 for a car of chestnut that ar-
rived on Saturday, and also to cancel
all other cars ordered.
Mayor Cooper. and Reeve Ford ad-
dressed the Council as they retire this
year from the Council, and thanked
the Councillors for their support during
the -past year.

Thomas Cottle will occupy the uflice
of Chief Magistrate for the Town of
Clinton for 1920, The votes polled
by both the new Mayor and the old
Mayor, Mr, A 1. Cooper,' were fairly
even, the latter falling behind'in St,
James' Ward, as compared with last
year, Mr. Cottle had a majority of 31.
For the Reeveship, Mr. James Miller
defeated Reeve Ford by a majority of
2, after the latter having a lead from
three Wards, St, George's doing the
trick for Mr. Miller,
' The new Council will be composed of

Murray, W. J. Nedlger, E. Johnson and
Bert Langford.
