to the Thompson Memorial Co., To-
ronto. The monument will be in the
form of a cross as a base sur-
mounted by the figure of a soldier
leaning over a Flanders' cross, Tho
base will be of grey Canadian gran-
ite and the figure of white Italian
marble and the work will be done in
Italy. The monument will be about
seventeen feet high. The names of
forty soldiers will be engraved upon
th eress-shaped base. Work is al-
ready being done in preparieg the
ground in Victoria park and it is ex-
pected thememorial will be set up
in the spring.
Egmendville Presbyterian church
will be re -opened on the second Sun-
day in November.
Knox church, Godrieh, will hold its
anniversary services on the first Sun -
