Mr. Alex ItIeIKenzie attended the
funeral of his cousin, Mrs. John
Garret, at Londesboro on Monday.
Mrs. John Balfour, of Regina is
visiting old freinds in and around
Kippon, where she is favorably
known. Mr. Balfour conducted a
general store here for a number of
years. Her many friends are pleased
to meet her again,
Word -has been received of the
death of Mr. David Weismiller, who
at one time conducted a general store
and tailoring establishment in the
stand now occupied by Robt. Brown -
Clinton 1
lee. 13e moved to Toronto where he
has been in the insurance business.
Heart failure was the cause of his
death.
The assessors are now on their
rounds for another year.
Mr. Wm. Deitz and Mr. Lawrence
Moffat have been drawing logs for
Hon. Adam Beck of London from
the Logan Farm in Stanley. They
are leaving them on the Taylor farm
from where they will be taken to Lon-
don by motor truck as soon as the
roads are in good condition.
Mr. Roy Brown, son of Mr. Ang-
us Brown of Tuckersmith, who has
been ill in the west, is reported as
improving.
