Not Very Consistent.
Fergus News -Record — A few of
our•merchants are great "kickers" just
now over outsiders conning to town
and getting orders for goods. Yet
these same merchants are the very
first to give an outsider a printing job.
Consistancy, Thou art a Virtue. What
a difference and a holler when the shoe
is on the other foot.

Last year we were asked to
make over five hundred sittings
during themonth of November.
We didn't attempt to do this,
as in fairness to ourselves we
cannot undertake to do rush
work and finish your photo-
graphs as they deserve to be
finished. We would rather make
only a limited number and make
them right. '"0,101/

Well Known Here.
The Daily Stratford I•lerald of Thurs.
day last refers to a well-known Doctor
of that city and the New Era with other
friends in town join in wishing Dr.
Robertson many more happy years of
usefulness. The Herald says Dr. J.
A. Robertson, M.O.H. for the city of
Stratford, today concluded the fiftieth
(year of his practice In this city and has
been receiving congratulations from his
friends on his commendable career of
service to the people of the city and
the surrounding country. Dr. Robert-
son is today a healthy, happy man and
is not at all willing to leave his chosen
profession. After graduating in medi-
cine from the University of Toronto,
Dr. Robertson began his practice in
Tavistock. He stayed there for only
six months and then came to Startford
and entered partnership with the late
Dr. Oronhyateka, who ultimately be-
cane the head of the Foresters in Can-
ada. Shortly after his advent in Strat-
ford Dr. Robertson was appointed sur-
geon for the Grand Trunk. Subsequent
to that he,, was appointed Medical Offi-
cer of Health for Stratford, a position
which he still holds.
The Firemen are holding a concert in
the Town Hall next Tuesday evening.

mas bargains.
Will Speak Here Friday.
At a Liberal meeting in the Town
Hall, Clinton on Friday evening of this
week, on behalf of Mr. McMillan, Lib-
eral candidate for South Huron, the
electors will have the opportunity of
hearing Mr. James Murdock, formerly
of the ill-fated Board of Commerce and
now Liberal candidate in South Tor-
onto, who has been talking out in On-
tario and showifg his hearers just how
determined was' Mr. Meighen's effort
to save his profiteering friends from
any discomfiture. The Borden-Meigh-
en Government had said ")rands off our
friends" and now Mr. Meighen is with-
out an answer to Bir. Murdock's state-
ments. Chosen as a member of that
Board because he was a representative
of Labor, whom the Labor amen trusted
as a "four-square, upright man," lir.
M urdock's handing a volt to the gov-
ernment, straight from the shoulder
as he lays the facts calmly before the
people, std because he is stating only
what the Government knows to be true
there i, nothing in the semblance of cut
answer from Mr. .leis;hen or hissat-
ellites. Mr, McMillan will ;deo address
the electors. Ladies are specially in-
cited to be present at the int ting.

As Clothes are to the . Body,
so are Wall Papers to the Home
Few people can afford to be badly dressed; and
few people can afford to live with old or in-
harmonious wall papers.
They affect the spirits. They decrease self•
confidence.. 1'hey reduce morale. They are
`unhealthy for mind and body.
Harmonious Wall Papers are a Tonic.. They
influence the whole atmosphere of the house.
If you have in view a change in the atmosphere
of your home we invite inspection of our stock
and prices. ur1ti; ifr
