Held Thanksgiving Dance.
The Pastime Club, held their open.

We Were AR Fed Up.
The Editor had quite made up his
mind that he would have to eat salmon
or sardines, something tasty, for his
Thanksgiving dinner, when our good
friend, Mr. W, Patton, of Goderieh
township brought in one of his prize
ducks,and believe us there was nothing
left but the bones of that bird.
Just a "Milk -Shake."
E. Jackson's horse, attached to the
milk wagon took a Jaunt to 'himself
on Saturday morning, coming up Vic-
toria street and running along to Rat-
tenbury street. Spectators got'out to
see` the spill when the horse turned
the corner, but the old fellow, broke
into a trot and aas he was turning,
started to walk, so that he,was caught
and no damagewas done. ,

On Sunday evening after the even.
ing service, the Churchwardens on be-
half of the Congregation of St. Paul's
.church, presented Mrs. Morgan Agnew,
with a purse and address.` The pre-
sentation was made by Mr. •3. A. Ford
and address read by Mr. Chas. Mid-
dleton. Following was the address:—

Dear Mrs. Agnew:—We the members
of St. Paul's church, .Clinton, take this
opportunity, on the occasion of your
marriage of presenting you with a
slight token of our esteem and gratit-
ude for your untiring work in'connect-
ion with our church. We likewise
wish to convey to you and your hus-
band the united good wishes of our
congregation and sincerely trust, that
in the future all joy and happiness may
be yours. We are not unmindful of the
valued assistance rendered during the
long period in which you were Organ-
ist, in improving our services by your
wonderful musical ability; the thought
of which will ever Huger as a sweet
memory to be cherished by us.
We trust that you may be granted
health and strength and long be per-
mitted to direct the musical services of
our beloved 'Church.

Services were held in Wesley church
and St. Joseph's church on Thanks-
giving Day,
A Quiet and Chilly Holiday,
Thanksgiving Day was rather quiet
here, due largely to the inclement
weather. Nothing serious in the line
of accidents was reported and alto-
gether the daypassed off very quiet-
ly. The gun sports were out to the
bush and the Pastime Club held a dance
in the evening. .

Mrs. M. C. Long, of Highgate, has
purchased the home of Miss Moore,
Albert street north, and took possess.
ion last week,
Mr. Ezra Pickard, of Holmesville,
has purchased the home of Mr. Albert
Seeley, Mary street. Mr. Seeley and
:family will move to their new home on
Huron street.
Mrs. W. Glenn has rented her cottage
on Ontario street to Mr. Pearce, of
the Dorion Stores Ltd.
