Artificial Coloring.
The local grocers are having rather
a sticky time for they .11ave been as-
signed the new labels, required by
.recent enactment, making it counpul=
sory to have the words "artificial color-
ing" In as large letters on bottles as.
the name, flavoring extracts that they
sell, This is a precautionary measure;
Posters Passing Out.
In years that have" gone, and not so
very long ago; advertising matter
could be seen all through the country
on sign bards, telegraph poles, etc„
but the clay has gone, because a farm,
er in his auto drives too fast to read
the posters, 111 many years ago farm-
ers 'came to town In buggies or wag-
gons to get their mall, do shopping and
other business. What a change has
taken place, for to -day almost every
farmer has a mail box at his gate, or
telephone In the house, and his car to
drive around in. The way to get the
farriers attention is by advertising in
local newspapers.

By this a much vexed question per-

and capital cost of High schools has
in a measure been- straightened out,
Instead of the urban centres having
to bear the greater part of the
former and all of the latter the coun-
ties will now have to pay 100 per
cent. of the cost of pupils who come
from beyond the limits of the muni-

of permanent improvements, which
includes new school buildings.

A Splendid Game.
A big crowd went to Seaforth on
Monday night and saw Clinton Juniors
win out in a good game by a score of
7 to 5. Some good plays were made
on both sides and some very "sleepy"
work was pulled off at other
stabes of ;the game. The Seaforth
boys would look like a 100% team if
they were supplied with 'uniforms and
ilre 'boys deserve them and alto better
patronage. Fully 3sj of the spectators
there on Monday night were from
Clinton. Mr, J. B. Reynolds umpired
Hie game and gave good satisfaction.
Clinton got g`ir; good in the 7th and
scored 4 rune which put the Lance to
the good. Following was the lineup:

ACHING FEET
Many persons have real distress from tired aching feet. This
kind of distress affects the whole nervous system causing ex-
treme fatigue especially when walking a distance. Many wo-
men have this foot distress in connection with their daily
duties. After a long day on.their feet they are completely
exhausted. Some are unable to sleep after retiring owing to
pain in feet and limbs. Some have caluses and white blist-
ers on the soles of their feet adding intensity to suffering.
Many men also have this foot distress. Farmers working on
the land wonder why their feet ache and why they as so very
tired. Mechanics standing all day, feel all worn out by night.
Persons in other occupations also are distressed,
Because,of improperly fitted Footwear! The nerve system'
of the foot is being tired out. In many cases the ligaments
relax and the bone structure of the foot falls down then foll-
ows the necessity for wearing arch supports. ,,
When we made your shoes to your measure there were no
troubles such as we have described because you were properly
fitted, m'hllrati6fts
Our Custom Manufacturing business has beep wiped out by
the factory system and we are compelled to retail their prd-
duct, but we are still able to fit your feet to measure if ,ybu
