The after effeote of meanies may be far
reaching, as the irritation of the re-

The Clerks Will Do It •
(Shelburne Economist).—The heads
of all issuers of carriage licenses will
drop into the political waste basket one
of these days. The operation'is quite
painless. No more will the jewelers
sell the documents and allow per-
sons to tie a knot that only death
or divorce will untie, and sell a wedd-
ing_ ring at the same time. Municipal
clerks are to get one dollar of the five
for filling in the state's part of this
legal document, the balance going to
the government. If a clerk receives
over $2,000 in fees in any year he must
hand over all above the suns to the
nnusicipality—Just imagine if our gen-
ial clerk, D. L. Macpherson wrote over
52,000 worth of licenses --he might
get the notion himself.

Many persons have real distress from tired aching feet. This
kind of distress affects the whole nervous system causing ex-

exhausted. , Some are unable to sleep after retiring owing to
pain in feet and limbs. Some have ca lases and white hlist-:
ers on the soles of their feet adding intensity to suffering.
Many men also have this -foot distress. Farmers working on
the land wonder why their feet ache and why they as so very
