The whole world is ;n a state of un-
rest, :Canada is in the best position
•of any country whieh took part in
the great world war from first to-
last, and for the reason that all the
world is. unsettled Canada should see
to it that she has a strong, stable
„government. It is no time to try
oxtueriments The Government
shonld,!he. ' returned with. a good
-working majority.. •
If there is, any prevailing . senti-
ment it is re of intense weariness
with the Government of the day.
The people are tired of its delays
.and its tricks, its ridiculous -claims
of exclusive ability to handle the
tariff, coupled with every evidence
of incompetence and failure to grasp
the industrial situation. --The Globe.
The Globe will probably find that
the people are not nearly so weary
.of the Government as they ere of
-the dodging and side-stepping of
the Liberal Party. The Governmen
•uMnes out four square and tells the
people what it has done and what
:it proposes to do, Each Liberal can-
didate seems to have a plan of his
-own. What could a country expect
from a party that waits until ,it is
elected to frame its policy or which
holds to a policy whieh it is .ashamed
to confess? Canada will show its
. confidence in the ability of the Gov-
ernment to continue with its work
by giving it a, substantial. majority

HON, SIR GEORGE E. FOSTER
(Continued Froin Page 1)
Platform printed there? Those tariff
planks," continued Sir George, "were
inserted to snare the western far-
mer and they failed in that and are
now about the Liberal Leader's own
neck." Sir George said the result of
,this was that every Liberal candidate
made his --own platform, presenting
"whatever he :.thought would catch
the -most votes."
Sir George 111 concluding gave a.
•short summary 'of the world clone
by the Government for. the soldiers.
He •said they had had men from the
United. States, from France and
from Italy looking into the Canadian
system and that it was generally
conceclecl that Canada was much in
advance of the other nations in re-
gard to its reconstruction policy.
Sir George referred briefly to the
large, that the Government, and he,
cepted a position on the staff of the
Mimico Asylum, During his tenure
of office as Constable, Mt•, Kerr has
served the best interests of the vil-
lage and clone his duty and many
good citizenswill regret his depar-
ture, while wishing Irina and his
two youbg children happiness and
success in their new undertaking.

are being organized in many similar
villages in Ontario, such' as Blyth
and Londesboro. He showed how so-
cial and artistic interests as well as
recreations, educational, industrial
and welfare interests are developed
in Gut clubs. He explained that by
group games, community singing,
dramatic contests, debates and even
motion picture 'entertainments the
character of a village may he culti-
vated and improved.
At the close' of the meeting a
couple of "nonsense songs" were in-
