his health makes it necessary for

Stanley Township
On Wednesday evening of •last
week about sixty of the -friends of
Miss Lizzie Taylor met at the home
of Mr. Alex. McEwen and during
the early part of the. evening Miss
Agnes Glen read a short address, and
Miss Annie Stewart presented and
Taylor with a five pearl ring. The
rest of theevening spent g wasp in
games and music, after which lunch
ga s i 1 u ch
Was served. The evening was brought
to a ' close by -everyone singing,
"Should Auld Acquaintance be for-
got?"
Miss Ida' Taylor returned home
Monday after spending four months
in the west with her sister,- Mrs.
Bird
Messrs. Len and W. Talbot, two of
our prosperous young farmers; have
returned from .Sarnia, were they at-
tended a schdol of instruction in
tractor operation conducted by the
John Goodison Co. and the Hart-"
Parr Co.. They are highly pleased'
with their experiences and feel .that
they now know: their tractor thor-
ougbly
• Prior to theirdeparture from ;Mor-
ris township the neighbors of Mr. and
Mrs, Ray Fear, who have come •to°
reside on the William Taylor farm
on the 2nd, gathered at their home
and gave them a very hearty "send-
off", and a purse of,,money.
The following address was read by
Irvine Wallace and the presentation
made by Frank Bell: -"To Ray and
Mrs. Fear, -We, • your friends and
neighbors, having learned a short
time ago, with deep and sincere re-
gret, that you intend to move out of
our midst into another locality, which
we feel may be beneficial to you and
family, and now ,that you are about
to sever your connection with us we
feel we cannot let you go without
conveying to you: some idea of our
appreciation of your worth and asso-
ciation with us. Needless to say we
will miss you both and your little
family very much. You were most
agreeable and obliging neighbors and
friends, always ready to uphold the
right in our ; community, During
your stay among us you have been
an inspiration to us all, and especial-
ly when we Were engaged in church
work in our community in the past
years you have both proved most
faithful to the duties which fell upon
You, To Mrs. 'Fear we are deeply in-,
debted for your able and willing
assistance rendered in our Sabbath
School. We feel deeply grateful to
you for the painstaking care you
manifested in the preparation of the
lesson and the kindly interest dis-
played in the teaching of the great
precious truth of God's word. Your
desire, weLleel sure, and our pur-
pose we trust, is to make these truths
the great foundations of our life,
Our praxer is that God's blessing
may follow you both and family and
trust that you may find your new
surroundinga most genial and help-
ful, As a token of our esteem and
best wishes we would ask you to ac-
