Dr, and Mrs, Cfiapliison and little
son of Hamilton motored up on
Saturday to visit Dr. and Mrs.
• Hearn. Dr. Chappison returned to
Hamilton on Monday but Mrs.

The jury appointed• to inquire into
the cause of the death of Russel Mac-
Kay, who was run over by a car driv-
en by Mr. Oscar Winn -rill on Cameron
street, Goderich, on September 80th,
rendered a verdiet of accidental and
unavoidable death,

lisher of The Wingham Tunes, cele-
brated his ninety-third birthday last

Anniversary services were conduc-
ted in Cavan Presbyterian Church,
Exeter, on Sunday, . The special
preacher was Rev. J. E. Hogg, • of
Clinton who preabhed two most inter-
esting and inspiring sermons. His
evening subject was "The Divine Mis-
sion of Our Lord," in which he eta-
phasizod the fact that Christ, had
given three instruments for carrying
out . this mission, the Holy Catholic
Church, a universal Gospel and an
ubiquitous spirit. Large congrega-
tions .were present morning and ev,
ening, and a liberal offering was con-
tributed. Special music was render-
ed by an augmented choir.
Children's Day was observed in the
Trivitt Memorial Church, I3xeter, on
Sunday. The Sunday school attend-
ed tine morning service in a body, and
appropriate hymns 'were used through
this : service, A large congregation
was present.
