The annual business Meeting of the
Huron Pres'eyterial'Society, was held
in Willis church, Clinton on Tuesday
and was "fainly well attended.
The Presbyterial president,, Mrs. J.
E, Hogg, occupied the chair and con
ducted the devotional exercises. Mrs.
R. ie. Lundy of I ippen led in the
dedicatory' prayer,

A SUDDEN CALL
John Colelough,' a native of God• .
erich - township . and an esteemed
resident of ;Blyth, died unexpectedly
at the Moine of Mr, and Mrs, Bohn
Buahfield of- Logan township on
Sunday morning. Mr. Colclough
was a traveller- for Bainton Bros;,
woolen manufcturers, Blyth, and had
been out on his tripall week, tMr.
Bainton being: with .hien part- of the
time. Bainton left for Medina on,
Saturday :morning '.but Colclough put
up at Bushfield's and asked that he
be not called in the morning as ne
was very l: tired." About noon he 'was
called but on receiving no answer
from him his room was entered and
he, was found to have passed away,
the .doctor thought,' shortly after re-`
tiring. Heart trouble was, the cause..
He was ftfty-eig'1it years of age.
The late Mr. Colclough was a nn-
tive of Goderich kownship, being the
youngest son of 'the' late John Col-
clough of the • Base .• line, where be
was born and grew to manhood. Por
Some years he resided in Blyth. He
is survived by his, wife,' who was
formerly Miss Baird of Listowel;
two sons, Norman of Goderich. and
Douglas of Blyth, and two daughters
Mabel; Mrs. Ogle Miller and Olga
at home. Five sitsers: Mrs. J. P.
Sheppard, Mrs. J. Johnston and Mrs.
Render of Clinton; Mrs. J. Sharma
of Goderich township and Mrs. An-
derson of Winnipeg, and one brother
Janes Colclough of Saskatoon, also
survive...
The. remains were, brought to Blyth
and .the funeral took place. to Union
cemetery' yesterday. The services
were conducted by the Rev, Mr. Tie
fin, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Hawk
ins and the Rev. 3, -Ii, Colclough
Creevore, a nephew of the deeeass
ed. The funeral 'was very largely
attended. A number of relative
went up` from Clinton and vicinity t
the funeral.

The 'death occurred' in Clinton on
Thursday, evening last.' of Edwin .0.
A. Schoenhals, eldest son of ,Mr. and
ilirs. John Schoenhals, after an fill-

months.
The deceased young man was sc
few, - months under thirty and, until
stricken with'the illness which caus-
ed his death. had scarcely known ill-
nese, and was, indeed, the picture 08
robust health. He was born 1n
Milverton but had been a resident of
Clinton for the past ten years, since:
the family came to town.' He was
of a particularly , cheerful., jovial
disposition and Was lilted by all, He
is, survived by his 'young wife, .for.,
merly Miss Elva Stewart of Gode
rich township, and four little ones,
the eldest a little over four years
and the youngest an infant. He is
also survived by his parents, two
brothers and live sisters: Herbert of
Dutton, and Melvin; Roselle; Mar-
garet, Dora, Olive anti Freida at
home. The ,funeral took place from his
home on Huron street on Stinday af-

ternooin, the services being to to y
the Rev. J. E. Hogg, and at the
graveside, also by the Odd Feliowa,
a lisege number of whom attended in
a body.' The pallbearers were: A.

The bride was the recipient of many

cance as it celebrated the twenty-
ninth anniversary of the wedding of
the grooni's parents, even to the hour.
