The Baptist Anniversary servicesn
were a splendid success; the church
being filled to its capacity both af-
ternoon and evening, The Rev. M
Dewey of Goderich was the speaker
at both, services. The fowl supper
on Monday, evening was also well as
tended, many, had to be turned away
for lockof room. The sacred car: -
tate entitled The. Captive" 'was
well rendered, Miss Ella Robertson
taking the part of "the Captive" In..
a very realistic nnanner. Her sing
ing of the solo "['m .Free" was ex-
ceptiou'ally good. A song by three
little girls, Laura Phillip$, Josephine
Weir, and Winnie Marsh; dressed as
flower fairies, was very prettily
given. Miss Howson presided at,
the organ in her usual capable, way.
We have splendid sleighing now
