the summer at Beyfielcie and with
her son in Exeter, has returned to
Clinton and will spend _eine time
with her niece, Mrs. R. J Gibbings.

from- .Aylmer on Monday evening,
after attending the funeral of the
hitter's grandmother, the late Mrs.
Nairn. Mrs. Sharp ili'aad been in

grandmother's death.

after- spending a very pleasant
week as the guests of their bro-
ther, Mr. W. J. Foster of Bayfield.

Mr. Carl East of the Royal Bank
staff, North ,Bay; went up to
Heileybury to relive. the Man-
ager of the •branch at that place
for a few\ weeks, arriving the day
of the bigtlire last week. He es-
caped unharmed and after a few.
• days at Cobalt returned to North
Bay. The staff at Ilaileybury
are probably all havinga holiday

Mrs. A. Clarkson and family left for
Toronto 'on Saturday to join Mr.
Clarkson who has ,been in the,
Queen City for several months;
They have purchased"<a home on•
Burgess Avenue, in `'the Eastern
part :of the city. Clinton citizens
are sorry to' lose this family from
town. Mrs. 'Clarkson epent all
her life here but we trust she may
find happiness 'and prosperity In
her new home,
