Alex and J. Siouan went to Toronto to attend the funeral of their brother, which took place Froin St:Ann's• Anglican church this morn- ing. ; Mr. Sloman is survived by his wife. Byron Place, Flint, Mich., on September lst 'Jo - Willis Church seph Cook passed away• Mr. Cook leaves beside his widow, Mrs. Tres- sa Hall Cook; six children,: three sons and three daughters, to .mourn his loss. -'Mr. /Cook was the eon of the late Samuel and Jane Wheatley Cook of Clinton and brother of Mrs. W. r1. Cudmore,'and George Cook of Clinton; ,Mrs. A. B. Chaplin, of Lansing, Mrs• A-. II. Wait of De- troit, Mrsa W;• H. Cole of Flint, - and John Cook of Detroit. - Mr, Cook was born in England in 1851, conning' to Clinton when a boy. He went to Flint thirty years ago, and resided there continuously until his death. The funeral service was conducted by 'the RevMr. Stedmaii of Court St. M. E, .church,' of which . Mr. Cookwas a member. The floral offerings, . "which', were many and beautiful, showed the; esteem m which Mr, Cook was held by his em- lovers and friends. AN\ACCIDENT A regrettable accident befell Mr, Roy Wilson while he was engaged in threshing: on Mr, George .Jaelcson's• farm on the Huron Road on Friday, of last 'week. Mr, W,ilson'11 leg became twisted in the belt of the separator and as a result this 'menm- ber was broken. While the result of the accident is quite -serious it is fortunate -that it was not accom- panied by ccompaniedby fatal results. Goderich Signal.
