motored up on Saturday, and were

Port Union are visiting with their
aunt, Miss Washington. They mo-
tored up, bringing Miss Wa`s'hington
_who had been visiting relatives
down about there for some weeks,
home with them.
Mr. A. V. Quipley of Toronto was.
in town for a few hours' on Mon-
day. He had been spending the
weekend with his wife and family
who are visiting in Stratford and
name on up 'to see what the old
town looked like.

teach after the holidays at Turn-
er's school, T'uckersinith, and Miss

Stanley Township
A very jolly; time was spent at the
home of Mrs. Butchart on Thursday
evening last when the ladies of the
community presented Miss Mae Sin-
clair, who yesterday became the bride
of Mr. Peter Moffat, with a..kitchen
shower. The bride and groom are
both popular' and their departure
from 'the community is much regret-
ted.
Miss Hazel Potter of Stanley town-
ship succeeded in winning first' prize
in the garden contest of Huron.coun-
ty. This is 'a fine record and Miss
Hazel deserves our congratulations.
