Powell is a graduate of Victoria and has just completed a course in the Normal College. He will teach in Tor- onto the conning term. Misses Marjorie and Ruth McMath, who have been taking summer courses at London and Toronto respectively, are now holidaying in Kingston. Stanley Township A very jolly; time was spent at the home of Mrs. Butchart on Thursday evening last when the ladies of the community presented Miss Mae Sin- clair, who yesterday became the bride of Mr. Peter Moffat, with a..kitchen shower. The bride and groom are both popular' and their departure from 'the community is much regret- ted. Miss Hazel Potter of Stanley town- ship succeeded in winning first' prize in the garden contest of Huron.coun- ty. This is 'a fine record and Miss Hazel deserves our congratulations.
