Goderich Township
The late Alexander Cox,,brief men-
tion of whose death was made, in last
week's issue, was a native of Goder-
ich township, having been born -here
seventy-eight years ago. And he
spent all his life here. ,
Forty-nine .years Ago he, was aiiar
ried to Miss Ellen McKee, .also, of
Goderich tp. who survives hint. He is
also -survived by four,sons, John A.,
Herbert C. Albert B., and. Wilfred J.
all within a utile of the boMestead,
The late . Mr. Cox was a good
neighbor and a trusted friend and
was highly esteemed in the,compnun-
ity where he had lived, than and boy
foi• nearly eighty years. In religion
he was a .Methoidst being a member.
of Bethel'congreg•ation and in pol-
itics e Consereative. , He wasalso
a member of the Chosen Friends.
Mr, ..'Cox suffered • a ' stroke about
three years' ago, but had recovered
to someextent and was able to be
about until.. last fall, 'When he Vegan
to fail and gradually grew worse an,
til the end carne. •
The funeral, which was largely at-
tended, took place to Maitland Bank
cemetery on' Saturday week. The
Rev..]21r. Quinn of Bayfield conducted
the services and tlty four sons acted
as pallbearers.
