black snake in their garden last
week. They rushed him to Dr. Rich-
mond for treatment. He is getting en

and Mts. J. W. Peacock, nee Miss

recently married.

son, Allan Ramsey and Mr. Taven-
er; piano selections by Mns. Don-
ald Robertson and numbers by- the
orchestras. Mess Frances Shaw
gave a patriotic recitation and Helen
and Leona, ,small daughters of Coun-
cillor Harvey Johnston and Mrs.
Johnston .charmed all with thea
Dutch song and, dance. Mus. Spar -
ling Johnston read the presentation
address to which the -bridegroom
responded. Many useful and beauat-
a , ful gilts were received. Atter re-
teeetuments dancing was enjoyed to
