So now it is Greece, another of the
,tiny countries about to 'be eacriticed
on the altar of greed and lust,
Ancient +Greece, with a history of
valiant deeds, of gallant men sends
out its S,O:S, to Great Britian for
aid, Even as She lbision that appealed
o St. Paul crying "Come over to •
Macedonia and help us" ee came
the word to Britain., "We are et war
with Italy, we need your help." And
'the answer 'was wafted back. "We,
are coming:' 'Can that help arrive
1n time? We must wait and see.
It is early to predict just what
this latest move may mean, but we
venture to say that it has not caugrt
Britain, napping, yet it may be Just
the beginning of the end. So far
Mussolini has been ;content to run
from the British Fleet, but this
attack 00 Greece is a challenge to
action. Yugo Slavia, Bulgaria, Tar
key and Russia each in turn must
soon be called upon to decide their
choke of sides. What will each
one do? Hitler says if Britain, conies
to ,Greece's aid, he will help Italy.
To do this he must cross Yugo
,Slavia and Bulgaria. Will they sit
back defenceless or what? Turley
has a •worn 'help to Greece in case inattack, but she evidently wants to
be sure of Reessia's intentions. The
die is cast, the first mote has been
made, we shall maybe see the un•
winding of the tangle very soon.
One thing is certain and that is
Hitler has either decided that the
battle of B11,18.11 !Proved too great a
task at present and that he must
keep up the morale of the Nazis by
striking at some .weaker foe, or
that he hopes to distract attention
to the eastern Mediterranean while
he prepares an attack on.Gibralter
or even Britain,

'splendid program was presented by
the pupils of the school, as well.
This Junior !Red Cross branch has
been working diligently to rales
funds for the worthy cause since

such children, who realize the ex•
theme need of work and sacrifice for

United 'Church met on Wednesday
