Just returned from my leave to
Edinburgh last night: I sure had a
fine time.
We left camp Sunday night and

to get a room. No sooner had we
landed there when a 'banker came
and took us home with him for
supper and evening. They were a
very nice young couple, just ,married
one year. We .spent two evenings
and two suppers at their 'place.
We were all through Edinburgi
castle. The shrine in the castle
is a memorial to all soldiers and is
the only one of its kind in the

bers was held Friday evening in the
Bank of Commerce. $400 was the
objective- of the recent campaign,'
and ;406.80 was realized. It was de
oided to send $250- to headquarters
in Tornoto, a list of th.e work sent
away since the 3rd of 'April was
given and consisted of 75 sults of
Pyjamas, 41 scarves, 11 pairs wrist-
lets, 22 sweaters, -6 'helmets, 9 pairs
seaman's etoo'kings, 3 pairs mitts, 3
Pairs hall mitts, 2.11 pales socks
and tor refugees a box containing
6 quilts, 22 pairs of children's bloom-
ers, 22 suits of boys pyjamas. It
was also decided that the ladies
should call a `meeting and discuss
buying material for making cloth-
ing for refugees, Ways and means
