"w.. mac* rids rw anoon From the Loodon Daily Mirror. - m. almursammilmw * * , * * * * Obituary 'c0 * * * * * • * * * * Hugh Anson Shaw Hugh Anson Shaw died at his home in Bluevale on Tuesday after- noon, in his 90th year. Mr. Shane was the son of the late Mr- and Mrs. ,Samuel Shaw, who were among the early pioneer set- tlers of Morris Township, He was born on the 2nd concession and liver]. Atfhere until a few years ago when he retired from active farm life and proved into the village. In July of tams year Mr. and Mrs. Shaw, form- erly, Miss Mary Forrest, celebrated the 50th anniversary of their mar- riage. For over a year he had not enjoyed, good, health, stuttering from a heart condition. He died while. sitting in his chair after dinner. He had a bright, cheerful dispos- ition and always had a kind word tor his friends. Pie was especially fond of children among whom he had strong admirers. Mr. Straw was al- ways interested in the affairs of his school section and was a trustee of S. S. No. 10 Morris tor thirty years. He is survived by his wife and th ee sons Ralph, Frank and Alex, all of Morris Township and five grandchildren, two brothers, Arthur and Robert Shaw of Bluevale, two half brothers, Frederick J, Johnston, B.A. end Rev. Alfred J. Johnston, D. D. and one half sister Mrs, Will- iam Clank all pf Toronto. The fcne5ral was held on Friday afternoon florin Knox Presbyterian Church of which he was a faithful member. The very large attendance r,- relatives and friends was a fitting tribu'e to the departed, The service was conducted by Rev. F. G. Fowler as=sisted by Rev. J. R. Greig of At- wood a former minister here and Rev. C. 'Dweller of the Bluevale United Munch. During the service Mr. Greg sang "The Old Rugged Cross.", , The pall bearers were Messes. W. S. Davidson, Will Moses, Allan Ram- say, Graham Campbell, J. Riley and J. C. Higgins. The floral tributes were numerous and' beautiful, Interment took place in Brussels Cemetery. Rev. A. J.
