Teacher Is Engaged
Miss Mina Bryans of Brussels,
has been engaged as teacher in the
Belgrave school. Miss Dorothy
Golley of Wingha-m, is engaged by
trustees of S. S. No. 5 Morris, and
Mises E. Wallace of Seaforth, will
teach at SS, No. 8, East Wawanosh.
Mrs. B. Aitoheson of Sudbury is
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
N. Walsh, and brothers Harold and
Cameron.
The auditorium of fie United
Church was well filled on Sunday
morning when a special feature of
the service was the unveiling of a
Communion table dedicated to the
memory of the. late Peter W. Scott.
Mr. Scott had a life-long association
with the Knox •Church cosegregation.
He joined the church by profession
o8 faith in 1885 and, was elected to
the 'Session in 191.4 and was made
Clerk of the Session, in 1925. Foc
some years he was Bible class teach-
er and occasionally conducted the
service of worship on Sunday morn,
ung. Mr. Scott took keen interest
in all forms of church activity and
was an earnest believer in and a+
leader of the 'Church Union move-
ment:,
Communion table was donate;
by his son, Mr, D. C. Scott, of Dear-
born, Mich., and is of quarter cut
oak in lovely design. The table
was unveiled and accepted on be-
half of the congregation by John T.
Coultas, member of Session and
personal friend of Mr. Scott for
many yearn, and James Michie who
succeeded Mr. Scott as Clerk of
Session and .had been associated
with him in church work ,For manse
years. The table was formally dedi.
mated to the glory of God and in
memory of5 Peter W. Scott bp Rev.
J. B. Townend who preached a ser -
i mon on the significance of mem-
orials.
In addition to Mr. and Mrs. D. C.
Scott of Bearborn, the following
immediate relatives were Present:

A Communion- set in silver plate
was presented to the church some
years ago by members of the Scott
family in, memory of their permits
who were pioneer settlers in the
district and outstanding leaders in
the church work locally.
