MRS. MARY FORSYTH
An. esteemed reeident of ,the vil-
lage, Mrs. Mary Forsyth, widoav of
the late Alexander,' Forsyth, Massed
sway at her home in Brussels dur-
ing the. early hours of FrldaY morn-
ing, May 311st, The late Mrs.
Forsyth was . in poor health for
some time but was only cont0ned to
bed! dor a few days bet'ore her de-
mise, having only recently returned
to her home atter spending the
!winter months at the home of Ther
(laughter, Mrs, Bert Evans.
The. d'eiceased ball lived in Brns-
sets, for the past twenty-seven years
and previous to 3het had been a
resident of Morris, township, living
on the 8rd concession. Her hus-
band predeceased her fourteen
years ago lash April,
One sou Kenaie Forsyth, B.C.,
and one daughter, Mas. Bert Evans
Grey townslrtp .survive their mother.
Also surviving is a sister Mrs. E.
Landreth, Toronto. Several nieces
and nephews also survive, Mr. Neil
Robb and Arnold Lawson of To-
roruto, Mrs, George Agar, Stratford
and Miss Jessie Landreth of To-
ronito,
The largely attended funeral was
held ,.roan her late home on Sunday
afternoon with Rev, S. Kerr a3 Mel•
villa Presbyterian church, assisted
by Rev. J. E. Taylor of Knox Church
C•ran•brook conducting the service.
Interment was made iu Brussels
cemetery.
Flower bearers were Misses Mar-
garet and Betty Evans, granddaugh-
ters and Betty Brewer and Rutlt.

was held on Thursday in the Sewn -
slap hall, Gorrie,: with two sessions,
both well attended, iteitreseutcttives

Institute's . The president, Mits. J.
Harold Spier, Brussels, presided.
A two minute session oi silent pray-
er was observed for our soldiers,
sailors; and airmen. The sect'etary-
tTeasurer'e i'epuort shown d that all
local institutes• had paid the Fed-
etattion fees of lot per n:tntber and
5c per metmbei• for the seta•t.e.-t at
the district. Five dollars was paid
toward the expenses of the : eon -
venation and the expense; of a dele-
gate to Guelph paid; Balance on
hand was $51.06. The total balance
on hand in the branches is $87.82.
