Flax Acreage Increasing
Agricultural representative 3, C.
Shearer states that there is likely
to be a coneierable increase in flax
acreage in; Horan this year. In an
interview with Mr. T. A. Gordon,
proprietor of the Blyth flax mill he
was 'told that M.r, Gordon already
has 1,000 acres under contract and
a large paper mill company has con -
treated for the yield of 500 acres
or as inueh as he can spare them.
This will mean that both Blyth flax
mdlle will operate, one to process
fibre flax and' the other to 1111 the
paper mill contract. Blyth people
are elated at the apparent revival
of the flax indhtstry, The boom
