The meeting opened with the sing-
ing of hymn'270, followed by pray-
er by Mrs'. Bremner and the Lord's
Prayer in unison. The minutes o:
the last meeting were read and

acted. On, Motion of Mrs. Brem•
ner and Mrs, Ames, . 'Mrs Menzies,
Mils. Dolbsori and Miss Pearson were
appointed to 'consult the women of
the Presbyterian Church and the
Women's Institute regarding the
organization or Red Cross work.

The annual bazaar and supper of
St. George's Church was held in
Walton Community Hail on Wed.,
last, (,wing to inclement weather
the crowd was not as large as
usual but proved a decided success
Just the same. The ladies in the
booths were busy showing the large
display of aprons', quilts and fan'cY-
work The fish pond and candy
booths did a splendid trade with the
children and the white gift counter
and homemade baiting ;booths were
also well 'patronized• A lovely wool
cushion made by Mrs. Holsinger
and Mary Humphries was drawn far
and won by Mr Frank Johnston,
Gur-sshl7 the name of a lovely loft
dressed by Mr's. Humphries was
won by 1Lr, Memo Jackson. Supper
was served from four o'clock on.

in the Sunday School Room of the

charge. Cecil Armstrong was in
the chair and Freda Jordan at the
piano, The lesson was read by ,
Geo, Michie and the prayer by
Mabel 'Coultas. Goldie Wheeler
giave the first of a series : of short
"Efficiency Talks", The topic was
taken by Kathleen Townend and
was, based, upon one of Rev. George
Pringle's stories of the Yukon. The
Meeker just gave same personal
reminiscences of the missionary,
then read,the story "Lost oil the
Divide" and finished with some gen-
eral comment on the story. There
was a good attendance and a good
